BSSC Field Assistant Exam Date 2025 Announced

The Bihar Staff Selection Commission (BSSC) has officially released the exam schedule for the Field Assistant Recruitment 2025 under the Agriculture Department. As per the latest notification, the BSSC Field Assistant Exam will be held on July 11, 2025.

BSSC Field Assistant Vacancy 2025 – Total 201 Posts

This recruitment drive aims to fill 201 Field Assistant posts. Out of the total, 67 posts (35%) are reserved for female candidates.

Category-Wise Vacancy Breakdown:

• General (UR): 79 posts

• SC (Scheduled Caste): 35 posts

• ST (Scheduled Tribe): 2 posts

• EBC (Extremely Backward Class): 20 posts

• BC (Backward Class): 21 posts

• EBC Women: 7 posts

• MBC (Most Backward Class): 37 posts

Eligibility Criteria for BSSC Field Assistant 2025

To apply, candidates must meet the following qualifications and age criteria:

• Educational Qualification:

  • ISC (Agriculture) or Diploma in Agriculture from a recognized institution.

  • No other equivalent qualification will be accepted.

• Age Limit (as of August 1, 2025):

  • General (Male): 18 to 37 years

  • General (Female), BC/OBC (All): Up to 40 years

  • SC/ST (Male & Female): Up to 42 years

Selection Process – Prelims and Mains Exam

The recruitment process involves two stages:

1. Preliminary Examination

2. Main Examination

Final selection will be based on the combined performance in both stages.

 Salary & Pay Scale

Selected candidates will be appointed at Pay Level-2 with:

• Basic Pay: ₹5,200 – ₹20,200

• Grade Pay: ₹1,900
